2018 Minor Rookie Tier I Capture C  Championship in Oakridge

Our Waterloo Tigers Tier 1 Minor Rookie Ball team walked away from our Bob Stark tournament in London with big smiles, a 3-1 record and a Division C, Championship trophy!   

During our first game, our team came on strong to earn a 12-1 victory over the Georgina Bulldogs.  Our bats were connecting and our defence was strong!

Our second game saw us struggle to catch up to the early lead from the Tecumseh Rangers.  We worked hard but were stuck with a 19-10 loss.   

Sunday morning's semi-final arrived along with the hot sun and some hot bats!  Our game against the London Tincaps was a big 15-6 win with 22 hits logged.  The boys came together as a team, showed some strong defence and cheered each other on!

Our boys began the championship game with a 2-run deficit and struggled initially against some strong defence from the Pickering Red Sox  They rallied back as a team to eventually have a total of 27 hits, great defence and a 15-3 win!   

Our coaches and families are proud of the way the team played over the course of the weekend!  Congrats Tigers!
